I might be really bad at this updating thing. Which is now the theme for all of my posts I think. But at least I’m getting better at taking pictures. (Baby steps everyone. Photos first and who knows maybe next month I’ll be better at updating this). If you are friends with me on FB- check out all of my wonderful photos taken thus far.
Can’t say I didn’t think it would be like this. I had a feeling- when everyone wanted me to keep a blog, that I wouldn’t update it. Well- I’ve been in Paris for almost a month now. Adventures have been had and there are many more to come. I have many drafts saved on my Tumblr- but none of them seem to get published. Its only when I tell myself- hey, I should let everyone know that I’m alive, that I make a quick post like this.
This a self-portrait I took of myself at the fromagerie where we had a cheese tasting. I think it was my second week. I have a draft saved of the notes that I took at the cheese tasting- but I never got around to finishing it. On of these days these drafts will be posted, and then it will be funny when they are all completely out of order.
So- This photo is from my first day in Paris- So I was really very jetlagged. I have lots of drafts of posts that I want to re-read, but I figured I should post something to prove that I am alive and well. Paris is still surreal, but definitely exciting and different. I think I’m going to learn a lot while I’m here.
This video just appeared on my fb news feed. A graduate from highschool was sharing it with one of our teachers. This teacher reads this same story every year to the graduating class. I think hearing the story before my highschool graduation was the perfect timing.
I still think that today the story is fitting. I was read this story before I started my independent journey to college. Its about the places one will go, adventures, excitement, and challenges and times without success. It knows there are different stages and journeys taken in life. Going away to Vassar for college was one of those adventures and moments. And now I’m about to go to France for several months- where I will only speak french. Now that is definitely an adventure- and a place that I will go.
So in less than a week I will be in Paris. Everyone seems to want me to start a Paris blog… Can’t say I’m thrilled about that, but I figure it might be nice. I’d just have to get better at updating frequently- something that I’ve never been good at. So instead of creating a new blog- for the next five months I will be using my Tumblr to share my adventures in Paris, France.
Its funny, this account was started as an assignment for class, then it was used to keep track of my interests, and now people might read it to hear from me… How odd.
This is the cutest viral video I’ve ever seen. An old couple trying to take a picture with their laptops accidentally record themselves. Super cute. There is singing, some flirting, and adorableness.
So cute! Its like a real life homeward bound.. except that the cat left home and went to NYC instead. Maybe Willow just wanted to make it big in the city?
